Furat’s Cochlear Implant 2021:

Introducing Furat Younes, a 4-year-old boy from Qalqilya, Palestine, who bravely faced severe hearing loss. Urgently needing cochlear implant surgery at The Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation, his family faced financial barriers.

A cochlear implant, a remarkable electronic device, restores hearing by directly transmitting sounds to the auditory nerve. Although sounds may differ from normal, with time and training, patients like Furat can adapt, enhancing their social interactions and self-esteem.

Thanks to the kindness our generous donors, Happy Kidz Canada was able to fund Furat’s life-changing surgery. Now, he can experience the gift of sound! We invite you to witness this heartwarming transformation in our heartfelt video!
